Alligator Jewelry
The American Alligator is found throughout Florida. They are farmed and hunted for their valuable hides which are used for leather production. Byproduts of this process are meat and artifacts.
Alligator jewelry is primarily made from two distinctly different parts - teeth and bony back plates, called scutes. Sometimes, toenails are used.
